Florence has lots of places to stay, as do the surrounding hills. Below we have listed some potential recommendations in both Bivigliano and Fiesole, however there are many websites you could consult to find more in and around the city. We recommend:
BIVIGLIANO:
Bivigliano is about 15km outside of Florence on the edge of “il Mugello”, the mountains that separate Florence from Bologna. There is a bus service that goes to Florence, however it is not particularly frequent. The village is small and only has three hotels (listed below) and one B&B.
Please note that although ideal as a wedding location, Bivigliano may be less ideal if you were planning to stay and visit Florence for a few days. The city is at least 20 mins away by car, therefore you may wish to stay somewhere else and Fiesole would make an ideal spot as it is in between the two.

This is the closest Hotel to the reception as it is in the same village. We have block-booked the whole Hotel (approx. 40 rooms) for the night of the wedding (22nd June). We have negotiated special rates for that night, however the hotel is flexible and should you wish to stay a few days before or after then the same rates would apply.

This hotel is only 5 mins from Bivigliano on the road back into Florence. It is rather modern, conference type to look at, but views down the valley to Florence are lovely (make sure you book a room with a view) and it has a swimming pool.

FIESOLE:
Fiesole is on top of one of the hills that surround Florence and is a great location if you want to visit Florence. Many of the hotels/B&Bs have great views over the city and the town offers it’s own tourist attractions including a roman amphitheatre. There is a direct bus service that takes you straight into the centre of the city and is reliable and cheap.
